History
SME Management Company LLC (SME MGMT) is a brand management company operated by Yolanda Newman CEO and Founder. COMPANY MISSION: To collaborate, build partnerships and form relationships with other small businesses to help one another be more productive and impactful. We believe in supporting small businesses one step at a time because each step forward is one less step on the journey to success. Our Company was founded in 2021 with a focus on brand management. We expanded our brand management portfolio to include our very own retail operations including our custom designed clothing and apparel. The retail operations began in 2024 with the creation of our premiere brand, the Born With It Collection and quickly expanded with the addition of three other collections in 2025: the Cloud Collection, the Edgy Collection and the Be Kind Collection.

My name is Yolanda Newman. I am the founder and CEO of SME Management Company LLC (SME MGMT). I have more than 25 years experience in the customer service sector. I value the support of our customers and believe in meeting and exceeding expectations with each encounter. SME Management Company LLC where Success Meets Excellence.
I believe we are born with everything we need to succeed in this life. Each of us have our very own God given traits and qualities that make us the unique individual that we are and it is up to us to tap in to these things and allow God to guide us on the path He designed just for us. Our Born With IT collection is designed to celebrate what makes you YOU.
I believe in service over self. I am a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and have been an active participate in serving my community for more than 35 years. I understand that we do not exist without being able to coexist with one another. The SME Management Company Be Kind Collection was designed to emphasize the value of building relationships and showing compassion, empathy and kindness towards one another. We are all in this together!
I am the idea originator for the Juneteenth Celebration which has been held annually in my hometown of Dyersburg, Tennessee since 2005. My vision was to have a celebration emphasizing the historical significance of the Juneteenth holiday while combining fun family-oriented activities, and for the past 20 years our local NAACP, the Dyersburg/Dyer County Branch, has facilitated such an event. We celebrate the beauty and courage of being black. The SME Management Company's Black Excellence items are designed to empower individuals to celebrate the freedom, history, and heritage that has been passed down since 1865.
I believe in collaboration over competition. The SME Management Company seeks to build collaborative partnerships with individuals, groups or other small businesses. I believe by working together we can be much more productive and impactful. We can achieve so much more by working together to build unity and community. I look forward to working with you!
